Project Summary

Central Engineering is supporting a project at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, conducting sampling and analysis in Decision Units (DU) across a 5-acre lake to evaluate constituents of potential concern, including known EPA pollutants such as benzo(a)pyrene (BaP), aldrin, and lead. Field activities, laboratory analysis, and reporting will all be conducted to support sediment management decisions. The project also includes installing irrigation wells to support existing irrigation as well as planting areas following National Cemetery Administration standards, prioritizing the use of native plants. They also include tree planting and sod installation, as well as infrastructure upgrades such as underground utilities, piping, pumps, and visitor signage.
